THE STATEMENT OF THE POLISH EPISCOPAL CONFERENCE ABOUT THE TELEVISION TRWAM
Polish bishops gathered in Warsaw at the 361th Plenary Meeting of the Polish Episcopal Conference are supporting the request of ‘Lux Veritatis’ Foundation again submitted to the National Broadcasting Council about granting the Television trwam a place on the digital multiplex. It is awaited by millions of citizens of our Homeland in the name of the speech freedom in media transmission. Suitable applications in this matter were sent by signatories to the Representative of the National Broadcasting Council.
It is awaited by the believers of the Catholic Church in Poland and its pastors in the name of law and principles of a democratic country. The Television Trwam has served to the work of deepening faith in Homeland and abroad for 10 years, fulfilling its evangelical ministry. It is also help in understanding the religious, social and informative reality of our Homeland. Rejecting another request by the National Broadcasting Council in the matter of gaining the concession on the multiplex by the Television Trwam would mean a clear discrimination of believers of the Catholic Church in Poland.
