Radio Maryja as the target of the media

We are in a special situation again: we are waiting for the first pilgrimage of the Holy Father Benedict XVI to our homeland, the government coalition is being formed and the election of local authorities is approaching. Therefore, I am surprised that almost all media in Poland, radio and television stations as well as the biggest newspapers, have launched a frontal attack against the Torun radio. Radio Maryja and Trwam TV have withstood these attacks in a rather reserved way. »

And it still makes a difference to us

At Easter, in 1926, exactly 80 years ago, the first edition of 'Niedziela' was published. The black and white paper was addressed to local readers, to the faithful of the newly erected Diocese of Czestochowa. In the year 2006 the Catholic Weekly 'Niedziela' is the biggest Catholic paper in Poland. It reaches the Polish communities in the whole world, has its own web portal, radio studio, television studio and 20 diocesan editions, including the primate Warsaw and distant America. »
