Life is a voyage through the jungle that God has given us to pass. The trip begins with a beautiful walk through the grass. One´s fingers embrace the tingle of the fern bush, and one´s nose erects to the smell of lilacs. This part of the journey is the most carefree; it is full of tiny acts of iniquity, which are excused because of ones under developed age. However, time adds years and years add the ability to think abstractly. No longer can one blame ones wickedness on age. At this point in the voyage, choice is prevalent, and spiders begin to jump out of trees in order to taste ones blood. One stands in the middle of the jungle, and revolves 360 degrees to get a glimpse of the paths laid before one´s feet. One knows that there exists only a single right path, but which one? Jesus is standing before your eyes, his arms are open. Will you chose his path? The voyage continues, and the choices increase in density. Their importance is in direct proportion to one´s age; for now knowledge has leaked into one´s brain. The journey becomes harder because the serpents begin to exhibit their revolting heads. They begin to snap, and their continuous rattle hypnotizes one´s brain. They promise the easy life: abundance in money, no matter how it is attained, and freedom from conscience. Yet, Jesus is standing before you with open arms. The journey prolongs, and now one is tiered and looking for a place to rest, hoping that someone somewhere will unconditionally love one´s being. One cannot find this love because it cannot be found among humans. Only God has this power. Once again one has a choice, surrender to God´s love, or continue looking for something that is right before one´s eyes. Jesus is still standing before you with open arms. The last sun set one will ever see is approaching. Do you want to end up on the hill were roses grow, and summer never ends, or are you going to sink into a pile of quicksand where darkness and gloom never end? He is standing before you with open arms.
