A few weeks ago, we used irony to write in ‘Niedziela’ that ‘The West can feel a relief: Germany is innocent’. We meant the crimes from the times of the second world war. Going further, we must think why Poles are anti-semites in the eyes of the western public opinion, who are responsible, like the Nazis, for murdering the Jews. »

There is a deep meaning in the saying: ‘Who saves one man, saves the whole world’. The further part might be as follows: ‘Who kills one man, kills the whole world’. Here we touch the category of the supreme values – it is all about human life here, which is endangered in Poland at present because it is becoming the object of a wild business. »

It happened… Mary Wagner was sentenced again! The court decided that the Canadian pro-life activist, being in custody in Milton since last December , is guilty of convictions made against her. The verdict is going to be announced on 5 May 2015 and then we will find out how long she is going to be imprisoned. »
BEGGING FOR PEACE FOR THE WORLD

I remember great joy which was accompanying monks and believers gathered at Jasna Góra on 21 October 2002, during a morning Holy Mass, during which Fr. Izydor Matuszewski, the General of the Pauline Order then, made sanctification of the copy of the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Jasna Góra, designed for Mariupol in eastern Ukraine. »

On Monday 9 February in Jastrzębie there were gunshots. Bullets from a smoothbore weapon, water cannons, tear gas – this is what our social dialogue looks like. People attacked a Coal Company in Jastrzębie, wanted to enter rooms of its management board and then police used force. There was nobody who could conduct talks so that they could bring some compromises. »

Recently we have heard very strong words of archbishop Henryk Hoser SAC. He said that Poles had betrayed John Paul II, because pastoral practice concerning marriage and family ‘did not follow his voice, and even did not get to know his teaching’. »
